I prefer having a real life teacher to teach us and not a robot avatar. Despite robots being a good tool for learning, I still prefer having a real life teacher to teach us as it is more interactive and fun to have the teacher standing in the class and teach. Robots are only limited to their functions and cannot do other stuffs like responding to an emergency that can occur during lesson time. Using robots to teach also incurs a high cost for the school because robots are expensive and they need to be maintained frequently to prevent glitches. I personally will feel more at ease with a human in class teaching us than have a robot stand in front of the class to teach us. A robot do not have feelings hence it is not really a good idea for them to teach students as they cannot show the appropriate feelings while a real life teacher can. Humans can laugh, be angry and have feelings that the robot will never understand. Encouragement from teachers are essential to students who are studying. Hence i feel that robots should not replace teachers.
