Writing Assignments
Directed Writing 1: Advertisement (CA2 Component 1)
Directed Writing 2: Formal Letter (CA2 Component 2)
Independent Writing 1: Discursive Essay_Taking a Stand (CA2 Component 3)
Independent Writing 2: Discursive Essay_Presenting Different Viewpoints (CA2 Component 4)
Independent Writing 3: Discursive Essay (CA2 Component 5) Each component constitutes 20% of your CA2 grade.
CNA Debates
In our CNA groups (which will be decided on soon: more information on that to come soon) we will each perform research and prepare a powerpoint presentation on a CNA topic which will be assigned roughly 2 weeks before the presentation date. We should be familiar with the format of the CNA debates because we went through one round in Term 2. This time though, the CNA debates will constitute 10% of our SA2 marks.
*For the End-of-year Exam Paper 2 (Comprehension), one passage will be taken from Focus on Writing 2 and the other passage is based on a related topic.
